Aap Jaisa Koi – Qurbani
The year was 1980 and this Biddu composition changed the way we listen to songs. Nazia Hassan was introduced to the world through this song the rights of which were purchased by director/producer Feroz Khan and filmed on the glamorous Zeenat Aman.
Disco Deewane – Sangdil
A couple of years later, Nazia Hassan was back with her film debut as a playback singer in Sangdil; her album had gained popularity in the meantime and she had become a sensation for young boys and girls out there.
Boom Boom – Star
After the success of Nazia’s first album, Biddu composed songs for a few Bollywood flicks, Star being one of them. Boom Boom became a rage due to its different compositions and is popular even today, after 3 decades.

Whenever you think of Nazia and Zoheb, this song comes into mind as they sang it on many occasions on TV. It is a song about friendship and has been going strong ever since its debut in the early 80s.

This is easily one of the best songs by Nazia and you might be surprised to know the name of the music composer – Bappi Lahiri.
Kariye Pyar Dia Galan
This song has become synonymous to Nazia Hassan as it was the last shot by PTV in the early 90s. After this song, she quit music to become a lawyer and would have had done well even there had her life not been cut short in 2000.
Disco Deewane
In Student of the Year, the actors pay tribute to Nazia Hassan through her iconic song Disco Deewane; although they didn’t use the full song, the limited usage brought back memories of her era.
